Incompatibily between cudatoolkit version requirements and mac os
currently the latest version of cudatoolkit for mac os is 9.0 : https://anaconda.org/anaconda/cudatoolkit
however the environment yml file requires >=10.0.130-0
https://gitlab.inria.fr/ml_genetics/private/dnadna/-/blob/master/environment-cuda.yml#L12
this leads to a failure to install dnadna on mac (git clone + mamba install at least). Relaxing the constraint to >=9.0 allowed the installation. @embray was there a reason for forcing >=10.0.130-0
or can I change it. I could not find the info in previous issues or MR.
Unless there's a more recent version outside of anaconda but conda/mamba didnt find it. But it seems that nvidia is not supporting it anymore: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-cuda-toolkit-11_0_0-developer-tools-mac-hosts
Or in fact its just that it does not make a lot of sense to use dnadna gpu version with mac and mac users should stick the dnadna-cpu version? in which case we need to update the documentation #TODO
