moar parameters (though d_string is broken)

closes gnomon/gnomon#501 (closed)

More parameters are available but some aren't working (d_string 😒) and for some I'm not sure what to put as default value.

Also, I'm not quite satisfied with the layout of the params. I tried doing the groups but I must have missed something.
