No reaction from people at robot contact
"The walking people sometimes kick the robot over, even if it is standing still. The robot already has a mass of 500. Can this be because the robot (and people?) are moved with transform.tranlate instead of setvelocity, or such, making it difficult for the physics engine?"
Details
The crowd seems to ignore the robot. This might be due to the fact that the crowd is not using a crowd simulator (local avoidance) and only a control law (global navigation).
If a person collide with the robot, there is no consequences on the person as the person moves according to an animation an is animated by the physics engine. For the physics engine, the persons are seen as immovable object.
TODO
I'm not sure what is the best solution. Maybe the person should move at contact, even with an irrealistic movement. I'll think about it.
But you should use a "control sim" such as RVO to avoid aving people colliding with your robot.
