Prepare a release candidate
I would like to make a DNADNA 1.0.0rc0 release (a first "candidate" release) in order to test releasing the package on PyPI as well as the conda package.
This is good preliminary work necessary for making a final 1.0 release too. In particular there are a couple TODO items:
-
Who wants to be the primary contact name/e-mail for the project? This needs to go in the project metadata. Alternatively we can set up a mailing list and have that be the primary contact e-mail.
-
We need to determine an open source license to use. I have no strong opinions about this--I usually just use the BSD 3-clause license for all my projects.
Those are the main ones I can think of.
