Our visualisation tool “The Missing Path”, relies on dimensional reduction techniques to create a map of the entities based on missing attributes, revealing clusters. It let users inspect these clusters for diagnosing the reasons for incompleteness.

The left part of the screen presents a map giving an overview of all the entities in the collection. The coordinates are calculated by using the multidimensional projection of vectors indicating which properties or paths of properties are missing.

Paths which have ordinal values, or a limited number of categorical values are candidates for color coding. By default, the best covered candidate is used to colour the entities.

## c - Path list

Paths are ordered by coverage, from top to bottom. The slider appears when the list is higher than the screen. Hovering path rectangle displays the property or chain of properties of that path. Hovering it more than one second queries its description and displays it in the dereferencer zone (g). Clicking opens the detailed description of the path both for the full set (d) and the selection (e).
