Direct objects in the form of infinitives introduced with "de"
For the conversion from UD to SUD, it is necessary to distinguish infinite direct objects from infinite indirect objects because they are the dependents of a COMP:OBJ relation while the latter are the dependents of a COMP:OBL relations. If the direct objects are introduced with a preposition, it is not possible to make the distinction.
- Example: UD_French-GSD, fr-ud-train_09722 - il est prévu d'élaborer une cartographie des risques
In this example, despite the preposition, élaborer is a direct object of prévu, because the corresponding question is il est prévu d'élaborer quoi. Only a lexicon makes it possible to distinguish direct objects from indirect objects.
