las -dup wrong count

This was reported by @halaswad

The duplicate check mechanism works, but for some reason the diagnostics line that gets printed invariably prints "number of duplicates: 0", which is quite annoying.

It's probably trivial, and it's probably my fault, so this is just a note to self so that I don't forget...
